ABOUT

The TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM provides BCS teachers two opportunities annually to win a grant to implement innovative programs and activities that fall outside the Bedford County School annual curriculum budget. This grant aims to increase as many opportunities as possible for educators to enhance the learning experience of the children of Bedford County.

The TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM also exists to help reduce the personal financial burden teachers often face when they use personal funds to purchase classroom supplies and materials. The residents and businesses of Bedford County can channel their support for the outstanding educators in our community into measurable, impactful action. Suppose every resident and business gives to the TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM. More teachers can receive grant awards, more innovation can be brought to the classroom, student engagement will grow, and the entire community will benefit. Investing in our teachers is investing in our children.
